And my schedule is exactly the same as it was last year. Same exact preps in almost the same exact order. My natural inclination is to whine about how boring that is, but I suppose I should make lemonade out of lemons and be glad that a) I don't have to start from scratch again with lesson planning, b) I'm already familiar with the new textbooks, and c) I can spend more time planning fun/interesting activities instead of wondering what's coming next. In fact, now I have absolutely no excuse for not planning fun/interesting activities!
Now that it's August (How the heck did it get here already??), I'm down to about 3 weeks until back-to-school time. Seems so close now! Guess it's time to start prepping for the year. Bye bye, summer.

Our admin is so lazy that they were ready to give me the same schedule as last year, until I kept telling them that 6th period wouldn't be a good choice for my advanced class. (too many orchestra kids signed up with orchestra also 6th) It's tiring to do their jobs for them! They would also give me the same planning every year; I didn't mind 3rd, but I requested 4th and got that. Hopefully I got to keep it; lunch period is a great planning. (especially the trimester that we have split class-the dreaded 2nd lunch) I'm starting to think about when I can go up to school. My mind is in a fog though. Summer is winding down. :(
