Well, obviously nothing interesting has been happening in the past few days (minus the glorious weather we were blessed with during yesterday's holiday). They recently replaced (and are still in the process of replacing) windows in my school building. It became very problematic on Friday when I was giving a test with a listening section while the workmen were drilling next door to me. To make matters worse, my tape player crapped out on me, forcing me to have to read the listening section out loud (read: screaming over the drilling). I suppose I could've just nixed the listening section, but I didn't like the idea of that. I guess I got lucky b/c most teachers were displaced for the day their windows were getting fixed. However, they did my windows yesterday while there was no school, so I didn't have to move everything and teach in another room. I did, though, have to clean up the big mess they left in my room (brick dust covering everything, papers blown on the floor, heavy cabinets moved that I had to wait for the custodians to move, random t-shirts left in the room). Fun stuff.
As I said, nothing exciting has happened lately. Perhaps things will pick up as the year goes on. No promises.
