Well, it's been almost a year since I've been here. And true to form, I'm back right when school is about to start. I really wish I had the time to blog more during the school year, but something always keeps me from doing it.
This school year should be somewhat interesting. First of all, I finally will not have a Spanish 1 class! (I guess the bad news with that is I'll be getting a Spanish 2 class with some kids from my Spanish 1 class from last year. Boo.) Second, I'll have a student teacher with me! I'm worried about being a bad model. I'll have to procrastinate a lot less, and I'm not quite sure I know how to do that. I guess I'll have to see how things go. I mean, I can't be THAT bad if the school thinks I'm good enough to handle this challenge.
I'm kind of anxious to get back to school, but there are still a few weeks left. I suppose I should start planning soon? We'll see how that goes.
I promise to try to be a little better at posting!

I admire you for taking a student teacher; they can make life easier, but also harder, depending on their gift for the craft. :) It's good to see you back at blogging; hope you can keep with it. I always enjoy reading about language teaching from someone else's perspective. I'm teaching all French this year, which makes me happy. Doing two languages is complicated!
Thanks Margaret! I'm so glad you're only doing French this year. I once volunteered to do both Spanish & French (when my French was much, much better), but I'm happy no one ever took me up on that offer!
Glad to 'see' you back! Even though I teach a different subject matter, I love your perspective and I learn so much from you. Here's to both of us keeping up blogging this school year.
