Day 83

One of my Spanish 3 classes took their final quiz before we move into the imperfect for the first time. This means that they were supposed have mastered (well, as much as one can master Spanish where the only time you see the language is in 50 minutes a day) the preterite tense. Can we just say that the quizzes were HORRIBLE? I mean, we spent weeks and weeks before the Christmas break reviewing the preterite. We spent the last week again reviewing the preterite. And many of them got F's. Not even one A-. There was one B+, a couple B-'s, a couple C's & D's, then many many F's. So disappointing. I don't know if it's that they just don't give a crap or if I'm just really that horrible a teacher. Either way, this June I will be throwing in the towel. No use wasting my time or anyone else's. It's just not something I can do anymore.
