Paper work

I have piles and piles of it.  In fact, today I ended up throwing away assignments that I knew there was no way I was going to grade in time to enter a grade for the marking period. (Our grading ends on Thursday night.)  I graded a mini-project tonight, but since I took so long to give it back, I decided to count it as an extra-credit quiz grade (which was terribly needed for most students).  Now all of the grading that I forced myself to do is done and entered.  All I have to do now is filter through out multiple choice report card comments and choose 1-3 comments per student for 6 classes. (Yea, I'm teaching six classes now, temporarily, while my colleague is out on maternity leave.  That's another story.)  I'm so overwhelmed with the amount of paper work there is.  On top of that, I still have to plan for my 6 classes and continue to assign/grade work. Oh what fun!  I should really stop putting grading aside for another day and just do it when it comes in.  *Sigh*
