Looks like I survived layoffs. My new colleague/former student teacher also survived, thankfully. It is so nice knowing that we don't have to a) take on a tougher load next year due to losing a teacher or b) get used to someone new. I did hear a rumor that our department head, who is retiring at the end of the month, wants to come back part time. We are not in favor of this (Hello... still no curriculum!), and hopefully the powers that be keep this from happening.
Now to survive the last two weeks of this school year!

We've got two weeks and two days left. They will be LONG. There's a lot to do, including workbook ordering. (with no cooperation from my colleagues) Who is your new dept. chair?
We likely won't get a new one. We may be left to fend for ourselves. (And honestly, that probably won't be such a bad thing.)
