Here are a few lowlights:
- Yes, I have FOURTH LUNCH! Starvation to ensue.
- Notebook grades must be included as either a test or quiz grade. Do we give them a test grade for taking notes? Is a quiz grade going to make any difference? That's the dilemma.
- Three different levels will be starting and ending at the SAME EXACT PLACE. Last year, a couple of teachers decided not to follow directions. They sped through about 5 more chapters than they were supposed to. Thus, levels 3 Honors, 4CP, and 4 Honors will all be covering the same material. That sounds like a fantastic idea. /sarcasm
- Tomorrow we get talked at again for pretty much the entire day. Any room time will be after school.
On the other hand, here are a few highlights:
- Once every seven days, I'll have 2 hours for lunch. Because of the crazy lunch schedule plus our rotating schedule.
- I'm teaching the same classes this year and the teacher before me didn't rush through the material, so I don't have to do any crazy new pacing. Thank goodness!
- Two of my students stopped by this afternoon and helped me straighten out my room and clean things. It's so nice to have help!
- I didn't actually make it to the gym as I planned, but I did get to go for a 30 min walk plus a 5 min run. Trust me, for me, 5 mins is a very long run!
- I WILL NOT LET ANY OF THE LOWLIGHTS GET TO ME! Starting off the year negatively will just make me end negatively. What harm could positivity do??
And most importantly...

4th lunch is still bizarre to me! I hate it when other teachers don't follow the rules; we have several who don't really use the book(they're supposed to) so it's hard to know exactly what their students have learned. GOOD LUCK!! Hope you get lots done in your room.
