Motivation Help

Dear all teachers,

I really need your help. The school year is starting in two weeks, and I have absolutely no motivation to begin lesson plans. I'm teaching the same courses I taught last year, but I want to better my plans. I don't know where to begin or how. I sit around all day bored out of my mind but too lazy to do some work. When I do try to do work, I get all spaced out and get so many big ideas in my head that I'm overwhelmed and can't concentrate, so then I just put everything aside. Is there a way to fight this so that I can get some work done? Where should I start? Any advice you have is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Profesora de español

C'est la vie ou c'est normal--as we say in French. I am feeling the same way. I can't even make myself go up to school, although I'm feeling pressured to do so. Great job on the AP exam. I don't have my kids prepare for it because I'm not exactly sure how. (and we don't offer an AP class so I'd get a lot of resistance from many students if I tried to make French 3/4 AP) My own child had a very weak Spanish 3 teacher, but managed a 3 on both her AP English exams and a 3 on her AP Calculus. She's starting college with 9 credits.
