Day 21

Is anyone else's body aching? 'Cuz mine is.

So today I had to give the tests and quizzes that I didn't get to give yesterday. They look better than the quizzes that I handed back today which, in the case of the 2s, were deplorable. I just don't know what to do to get through to these kids. They're not reading directions even when I read them out loud with them. They're not studying. How much can I possibly do for them? Today, at least, they were better about getting to what they need to do when they come into the room. We were able to play a game of charades before quickly reviewing tener expressions and why you have to say "Estoy cansado" instead of "Tengo cansado" and why it's "Tengo sueño" instead of "Estoy sueño," which can be pretty difficult for some of their little minds to grasp. Let's hope, though, that we can get through the upcoming test with better notas than the last quiz.

I have to work my 2nd job tonight. Why would I - or any teacher - take a job where you have to stand up all night?? Sometimes I honestly don't think I think before I act!
